7th Annual Atlanta Summit on Global Health: Natural Disasters

Global Health Summit is Here! Focus on Natural Disasters

Time & Location

Sep 17, 2018, 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM

InterContinental Buckhead Hotel, 3315 Peachtree Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30326, USA

About the event

Just as Puerto Rico reaches its one year post-Hurricane Maria, our seventh edition of the Global Health Summit will focus on the devastating impact that natural disasters have on health: both short and long-term.

How to prepare for the worst?

Even the best risk management cannot prevent natural disasters and the resulting losses. The keyword here is resilience. Our speakers will discuss how we can build health resilience within communities to ensure that as many people as possible can recovery quickly from events such as Hurricane Maria.

You don't want to miss it!

Michelle Nunn, President and CEO of CARE USA, in a dynamic fireside chat followed by audience Q&A, will address lessons learned in disaster preparedness, rescue and relief.
