Monday, December 18, 2017 | Atlanta, GA -- The Conrad N. Hilton Foundation has awarded the Georgia Global Health Alliance (GGHA) a $60,000 grant to support new programming that develops global health as an economic sector within the state.
GGHA was launched in 2015 to bring together businesses, academic institutions, non-profit organizations, and governments working in global health around the state. It currently includes 18 members representing a variety of institutions including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), The Task Force for Global Health, Carter Center, and Emory University.
“We are deeply grateful to the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation for their investment in GGHA and the global health sector in Georgia,” said Louis W. Sullivan, MD, chair of the GGHA Board of Trustees. “GGHA looks forward to helping nurture partnerships among Georgia institutions to solve large-scale health problems affecting populations globally and locally.”
